Hull boss lines up ‘possible’ loans from Chelsea

Leonid Slutsky has appeared to confirm that he will look to sign players on loan from Chelsea following his recent appointment as Hull boss.

Slutsky is a friend of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and has been tipped to target Blues players.

The Evening Standard have suggested that defender Tomas Kalas, who impressed while on loan at Fulham from Chelsea last season, will be Slutsky’s first target.

And Russian media have quoted him as saying: “Of course it’s possible that some of Chelsea players can be loaned to us.

“In Fulham this season there were two players loaned from Chelsea – Tomas Kalas and (Lucas) Piazon.

“It’s normal practice and I think that it’s possible in our case. But there also can be other players.”
