Willian starred as Chelsea cruised to victory over Huddersfield. Here’s how we rated each Blues player in the 3-0 win.
Thibaut Courtois: 7
Made several decent saves, most notably when he came flying out of his goal to half-block Tom Ince’s dinked effort. He had no chance with the injury-time header by Laurent Depoitre.
Cesar Azpilicueta: 8

The Spaniard was his normal dependable self, defending without fuss and using the ball intelligently.
Andreas Christensen: 8
Christensen looked assured defensively and confident in possession throughout – the ideal way to respond to a slightly shaky display against West Ham.
Antonio Rudiger: 7
The big German defender had one or two nervy moments when he was caught slightly out of position but was strong in the tackle and played numerous excellent crossfield passes.
Marcos Alonso: 8
Alonso had his best game for weeks, playing a key part in Chelsea’s second and third goals and instigating countless attacks. He also did his defensive work without alarm.
N’Golo Kante: 8
A typically tenacious display by Kante, who set the tone for a bustling midfield display with some telling early challenges and never let his energy levels dip.
Tiemoue Bakayoko: 8

Having been strongly criticised after the defeat against the Hammers, Bakayoko proved his worth with a much more complete performance – although he still looks like hasn’t fully adjusted to the pace of the Premier League. The Frenchman is still guilty of dithering in possession when there is not time to take a second or third touch.
Victor Moses: 7
Played his part in the crucial opening goal and was solid rather than spectacular.
Pedro: 8
Took his goal brilliantly and was a menace from the first minute. But his finishing, aside from his goal, could have been better.
Willian: 9

Pushed his claim for a regular starting place with a buzzing performance full of quality and, crucially, an end product. His goal was beautifully taken and he had the presence of mind to set up two goals and several other chances.
Eden Hazard: 9
Did not get on the scoresheet and probably tried a few too many flicks and tricks but his powerful surges, strength on the ball and selfless play was key to the comprehensive win. His brilliant back-heel led to the opener.
Michy Batshuayi: 6
He desperately tried to make an impression during his 23 minutes on the pitch but did little to suggest he deserved to start.
Danny Drinkwater: 6
Came on to shore things up in the closing stages and did a decent job with the game already won.
