Hazard not interested in move, says Jose

Jose Mourinho has shrugged off speculation that Real Madrid could attempt to prise Eden Hazard away from Chelsea.

Real assistant coach Zinedine Zidane said this week he admired Hazard, leading to reports that the Spanish club might look to sign him.

That despite Hazard, 24, committing his future to Chelsea in February by agreeing a new five-and-a-half-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

“He’s just signed a new contract,” Blues boss Mourinho said.

“We didn’t put a gun in his head; he had lots of time to think about it and had his family to assist him with his analysis. He likes Chelsea, likes the team and likes the league.

“He made a commitment for the future of the team, signing a very good contract. I don’t think he’s interested [in leaving].”

Hazard, who joined Chelsea in 2012 from Lille for £32m, has scored 18 goals and set up 10 this season.

He has been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award, the winner of which will be announced on Sunday.
