Hazard wins Chelsea award for third time

Eden Hazard has been voted Chelsea’s player of the year.

Hazard was outstanding for the Blues during their title-winning campaign and becomes only the second player in the club’s history to win the award three times.

The other is Frank Lampard, who was the winner in 2004, 2005 and 2009.

Hazard was also voted the players’ player of the year and his goal in the 3-1 win against Arsenal in February was voted Chelsea’s goal of the season.

There were also tributes paid to John Terry to mark his departure from the club, and coach Steve Holland who is leaving to take up a full-time position as assistant to England boss Gareth Southgate.

Terry was presented with a silver trophy by former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri.

Meanwhile, Mason Mount was named the club’s academy player of the year.
