Hazard: I’m not a top-class player yet

Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has insisted he cannot yet be regarded as one of the world’s very best players.

The Belgian’s brilliant performances for his club have led to him being compared to the likes of Barcelona star Lionel Messi and Real Madrid’s Ronaldo.

But Hazard, 23, does not believe he is on a par with those players or Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Franck Ribery and former Chelsea man Arjen Robben.

“I’m not a top-five player yet. Maybe I am close to it, but I still have to work on some aspects,” Hazard said.

“You can only be part of that group if you are [consistently] decisive in the top games. like I was against Manchester City and Arsenal.

“Who are better than me? The two extra-terrestrials; Ronaldo and Messi, and Ibrahimovic, Ribery and Robben. They make the difference in almost every game.”
