Hughes wants Moses despite new injury

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has told the Stoke Sentinel he remains interested in signing Victor Moses on a permanent deal despite the on-loan Chelsea winger’s latest injury.

Moses limped out of the Potters’ draw at West Ham on Saturday with a suspected hamstring injury and could face a third spell on the sidelines during his season-long stint at the Britannia Stadium.

Stoke have already confirmed they would like to keep Moses and Hughes said the Nigerian’s injury record would not put him off.

He said: “Because he is an explosive player, the hamstring is always a danger, and so he will always be a bit susceptible to those kind of injuries.

“But that won’t affect my thinking on other decisions we make with Victor. He has done well for us this season, but he is a Chelsea player and so they decide on the timing of talks.”
