Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic after missing out on Romelu Lukaku, it is claimed.
After Everton boss Ronald Koeman declared that Lukaku will be staying with the Merseyside club, there is inevitably speculation over which players Chelsea will now target.
The Sunday Mirror claim Croatia international Manzukic, 30, is wanted by the Blues.
Manzukic joined Juve for around £16m from Atletico Madrid a year ago and would apparently cost around £25m.
And the Sunday Express reckon missing out on Lukaku has prompted Chelsea to make a club record £60m bid for Real Madrid’s Colombia forward James Rodriguez
Meanwhile, after Conte confirmed he wants to bring in a defender, The Sun on Sunday say Chelsea are ready to make a £25m bid for Giorgio Chiellini.
The Juventus centre-back, 32, played under Conte for the Turin club and for Italy, and is apparently top of his wishlist.

Its a good idea I really support the plan of targeting defenders first before move on to a midfielder. James is a good player but were is he going to fit at chelsea? Right now we are having a good squad very sharp attacker, experienced mid only at the back that were a problem still existing now the question is can James defend ?
