Chelsea U19s win Uefa Youth League

Skipper Izzy Brown scored twice as Chelsea’s Under-19s beat Shakhtar Donetsk 3-2 in Nyon, Switzerland, to win the Uefa Youth League.

Brown, who flew out to rejoin the squad for the final after being a substitute for the Blues first team at QPR on Sunday, netted the opener after being found by Dominic Solanke.

An Andreas Christensen own goal levelled the match before half-time but the English side hit back when Jeremie Boga crossed for Solanke to head in his 12th goal of the tournament.

Boga was also involved in the all-important third Chelsea goal when he fed the outstanding Brown, who found the net with a wonderful curling shot.

Shakhtar battled hard and pulled a goal back in injury time, but Chelsea were worthy winners.
