Solanke poised for Vitesse loan switch

Chelsea forward Dominic Solanke is training with Vitesse Arnhem ahead of an expected loan move.

The 17-year-old hit more than 40 goals for the club’s youth teams last season and made his senior debut as a substitute in the Champions League win over Maribor in October.

At the time, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho predicted Solanke would “play in many, many Champions League matches”.

He is now set to continue his development at the Dutch club, who have also used their connections with the Blues to sign Lewis Baker, Danilo Pantic, Izzy Brown and Nathan on loan deals.
