Blues confirm Marin’s Anderlecht move

Chelsea have confirmed that midfielder Marko Marin will spend the rest of the season on loan at Anderlecht.

The German winger has made only 12 appearances for the Blues since signing from Werder Bremen in 2012.

He was with Sevilla last term, helping them win the Europa League, and began this campaign on loan at Fiorentina.

However the 25-year-old failed to make a single appearance in Serie A and the deal was cut short to allow him to get first-team football elsewhere.

Marin, who won the last of his 16 Germany caps more than four years ago, will wear the number 11 shirt with the Belgian champions.
