Wenger admits Chelsea look unstoppable

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that Chelsea are already looking unstoppable in their pursuit of the Premier League title.

The Blues are four points clear of Southampton at the top of the table after Saturday’s impressive win over Liverpool at Anfield.

But perhaps more significantly, Jose Mourinho’s side are eight points ahead of reigning champions Manchester City and 12 clear of Arsenal – who lost to Swansea on Sunday.

Wenger, whose title-winning Arsenal team of 2004 went through the league season unbeaten, said: “It doesn’t look like anybody is capable of challenging Chelsea at the moment.

“Look at the season and Chelsea are on course for 105 points. If they keep that up nobody will touch them, that’s for sure.”

And the Frenchman said the belief that has come from a 17-game unbeaten run in all competitions and an 11-game unbeaten league run was behind their fine form.

“They have had a good start and as long as you don’t lose you don’t question yourself,” Wenger added
