Everton v Chelsea player ratings

Chelsea moved a step closer to the Premier League title by beating Everton at Goodison Park. Here’s how we rated each Blues player in the 3-0 victory.

Thibaut Courtois: 6

Rarely tested, but was alert when called upon, saving Enner Valencia’s dangerous cross.

Cesar Azpilicueta: 7

Was caused some problems in the first half when Romelu Lukaku often pulled out wide, but the ever-reliable defender stuck to the task and had a much more comfortable second half.

David Luiz: 7

Another impressive performance at the heart of the Chelsea defence. The Brazilian has had a terrific season.

Gary Cahill: 7

Another strong performance at the back and was in the right place to score Chelsea’s second goal.

Victor Moses: 7

Not his best game going forward, but the wing-back got through a huge amount of work on the right-hand side.

N’Golo Kante: 7

Imposed himself in midfield, especially during a first-half spell in which Everton were lively and the match was in the balance.

Nemanja Matic: 7

Caught out on a couple of occasions but overall he had a good game and was involved in the build up to the all-important opening goal.

Marcos Alonso: 6

His delivery was poor at times but he still provided a good outlet on the left and was involved in the move which led to the third goal.

Pedro: 8

Brilliant from the Spaniard. Scored with a stunning strike and his skill and movement always bothered the home side.

Eden Hazard: 7

Also difficult for Everton to contain. Full of movement and invention as always.

Diego Costa: 7

A strong display up front. Worked hard and linked play well.
