Chelsea youngsters beaten by Liverpool

Chelsea’s youngsters missed out on top spot in the Under-21 Premier League as Liverpool beat them 2-0.

A win would have taken Chelsea to the summit but the hosts prevailed courtesy of Harry Wilson’s penalty and Jerome Wilson’s cool finish.

Wilson gave his team an early lead from the spot after Fikayo Tomori fouled Sinclair, who doubled Liverpool’s lead in the second half when he fired home from a tight angle.

Substitute Tammy Abraham and Dominic Solanke [pictured] had chances for Chelsea late on but were unable to find the target.
