Drummy is given new role at Chelsea

Dermot Drummy has been given a new role at Chelsea and been replaced as Under-21 coach by Adi Viveash.

Former Walsall and Reading defender Viveash, 44, has stepped up from the role of Under-18s boss after Drummy was installed in the newly-created position of international head coach.

The international coaching department is designed to support the club’s various overseas partnerships.

Drummy, who previously worked at Arsenal, joined Chelsea in 2007, initially as Under-16s coach. Last season his team won the Under-21 Premier League.

Joe Edwards, who has been in charge of the Under-16s, will replace Viveash as Under-18s coach.
