Costa injury fears are allayed

An injury Diego Costa picked up in training while on international duty with Spain does not appear to be serious.

The Chelsea striker underwent an X-ray on his ankle but the Spanish Football Federation have indicated that the problem will not rule Costa out of Tuesday’s friendly against France in Paris.

Costa has been in prolific form this season, scoring 22 goals in 35 appearances for club and country.

Premier League leaders Chelsea are next in action a week on Saturday, when Crystal Palace will visit Stamford Bridge.
