Conte considers changes in bid to improve Chelsea’s leaky defence

Chelsea: Antonio Conte

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has hinted he will continue to tinker with his side’s shape in a bid to shore up their leaky defence.

After the 3-0 defeat at Arsenal, the Blues have now conceded 11 goals in their last four matches in all competitions.

Conte did switch to three at the back in the second half at the Emirates, a formation he used successfully in Italy.

And he said he may use it again if it means his side can start keeping clean sheets.

“I have to solve the situation. The situation is that every game we are conceding goals,” he said.

“Three at the back, two at the back, I don’t care. It’s important to solve the situation.

“I must find the right solution. If they resist, I don’t care. I [will] work a lot to find the right solution.”
