Chelsea’s Van Ginkel joins PSV after Stoke loan ends

Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel has joined PSV Eindhoven on loan until the end of the season.

The Dutch midfielder, 23, returns to his native Netherlands after spending the first half of the campaign at Stoke City.

That deal was ended early to allow the move to PSV to go ahead, late on transfer deadline day.

Van Ginkel made 21 appearances at Stoke, having spent last season on loan at AC Milan.

His last appearance for Chelsea came in a League Cup tie at Swindon in September 2013, when he suffered a knee ligament injury that kept him out for around seven months.

Van Ginken joined the Blues from Vitesse Arnhem in July 2013.
