Chelsea’s Moses makes Stoke loan move

Chelsea winger Victor Moses has joined Stoke on a season-long loan deal.

The 23-year-old spent last term at Liverpool, scoring twice in 22 appearances.

But his prospects of regular first-team football at Stamford Bridge remain slim and he has become the 16th player to leave the club on loan this summer.

Moses, who played twice for Nigeria at this summer’s World Cup as the Super Eagles reached the second round, has made 44 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions since joining from Wigan in August 2012.

He helped the Blues win the Europa League the following year, netting four times en route to the final.

The former Crystal Palace flyer joins the likes of Ryan Bertrand (Southampton), Christian Atsu (Everton), Oriol Romeu (Stuttgart), Tomas Kalas (Koln) and Mario Pasalic (Elche) in seeking temporary moves away from Chelsea.
