Chelsea’s impressive youngsters demolish West Ham

Callum Hudson-Odoi scored twice as Chelsea’s Under-18s opened their Merit Group campaign by thrashing West Ham 4-0 at the east London side’s training ground.

There were also goals for Luke McCormick, who opened the scoring with a penalty, and Cole Dasilva in a one-sided game.

After McCormick’s early penalty, Hudson-Odoi rounded the keeper and slotted into an empty net to double the visitors’ lead.

It was 3-0 by half-time courtesy of a classy goal by Hudson-Odoi, who chipped home after being put through by Dasilva.

And a lovely move three minutes into the second half culminated in George McEachran dummying and Dasilva firing in the fourth.

Blues keeper Jared Thompson then saved a penalty to deny West Ham a consolation goal.
