Chelsea youngsters return to winning ways by beating Fulham

Miro Muheim scored the only goal as Chelsea’s Under-18s returned to winning ways by beating Fulham 1-0.

Last week’s loss against Reading was the young Blues’ first defeat in 16 matches – an unbeaten run that lasted four months.

But they bounced back in the game at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground, where Muheim broke the deadlock with a tidy finish on the hour mark.

The goal came after Mukhtar Ali had almost scored for the hosts when he fired against the post after being set up by Charlie Wakefield.

Ike Ugbo had a chance to make it 2-0 in the second half but his penalty after Dujon Sterling was fouled was saved by Whites keeper Magnus Norman.

The result took Chelsea six points clear of Reading at the top of the Under-18 Premier League.
