George Saville has joined Millwall on loan from Chelsea for the rest of the season.
The midfielder has captained Chelsea’s Under-21 side on 15 occasions this term and travelled to Japan with the first-team squad for the Club World Cup in December.
A number of League One clubs expressed an interest in taking him on loan but the Blues were keen for him to join a Championship team.
Chelsea Under-21 boss Dermot Drummy told West London Sport in November he had no doubt Saville was ready to play in the second tier.
