Chelsea youngster completes Terriers loan move

Huddersfield Town have completed the signing of Chelsea youngster Kasey Palmer on a season-long loan.

Goalscoring midfielder Palmer, 19, was on Charlton’s books before being snapped up by the Blues in 2013.

The England Under-21 international played a key role in Chelsea’s Uefa Youth League triumph last season and netted 16 goals in all competitions.

He is yet to make his senior debut, and with Chelsea keen for him to pick up first-team experience a number of clubs have shown an interest in taking him on loan.

“I believe we can help Kasey make the next step in his career and send him back to Chelsea a better player,” said Terriers head coach David Wagner.

“He is a very skilful player with good football intelligence and we now have the time to work hard with him in training to help him understand our identity on the pitch.”
