Conte reluctant to comment on Sanchez

Antonio Conte has refused to comment on reports linking Chelsea with a move for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.

There has been speculation over the Chile forward’s future as his Arsenal contract expires in 2018 and he has yet to agree a new deal.

And there has been speculation this week that Chelsea could make a move to sign him.

However, asked about Sanchez at a press conference ahead of Chelsea’s game against West Brom this weekend, Conte said: “I don’t think it is right to talk about other players of other teams.”

The Blues boss added: “Right now we are totally focused on the next game, against West Brom. January or next season are very far for us.

“I repeat, it’s not right to talk about other players of other teams. It is a lack of respect for the player, the other team, my club and my players.”

Meanwhile, John Terry and Oscar are unavailable for the West Brom game but Pedro and Nemanja Matic are likely to be passed fit.
