Chelsea might miss out on targets – Conte

Antonio Conte has admitted that Chelsea might not be able to land their transfer targets before next week’s deadline.

Reiterating that he would like to add to his squad, and again describing the transfer market as “crazy”, Blues boss Conte said he was unsure whether the club would get deals done in the coming days.

“With this market, it’s very difficult to believe in something,” said the Italian.

“I have some targets, but these targets will be very difficult to buy. This market is very crazy and now we are seeing that it’s very difficult to reach our targets.

“The transfer window is crazy. We will probably not reach our targets in the transfer market.”

Meanwhile, Willian could return to the Chelsea squad for Saturday’s game against Burnley.
