Chelsea goalkeeper makes Forest Green loan switch

Chelsea goalkeeper Bradley Collins has joined Football League newcomers Forest Green Rovers on a season-long loan deal.

The 20-year-old, who is entering the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, was first choice for the Blues’ development squad last season.

He played against League One sides in Swindon and Oxford last season in the EFL Trophy and was Chelsea’s hero in the record-breaking penalty shoot-out against Exeter in the same competition.

In coming through the Blues’ ranks, Collins has won both the FA Youth Cup and Uefa Youth League but will now get his first taste of a senior dressing room with Forest Green.

The Gloucestershire-based side won the National League play-offs last season to earn promotion to League Two.
