Chelsea drawn to face Paris St-Germain

Chelsea have been drawn to face Paris St-Germain in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The first leg will be in France before the defending Ligue 1 champions and current leaders travel to Stamford Bridge to battle for a place in the last four.

First legs will be played on 1-2 April, with the return matches on 8-9 April.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, who has never lost in the quarter-finals of the tournament, said shortly before the draw that he did not care who his team faced.

“There is nothing to choose at all because all the big teams are there,” he said.

“Sometimes you have an outsider in the quarter finals – a team with less experience or less potential. But that is not the case. We are calm because we know what is waiting for us.

“The big candidates are there – all the teams are the teams of the moment with history.

“We have to be happy to be among the best teams. The most difficult opponents in European football are there.”
