Blues will be champions, says Swans boss

Garry Monk believes Chelsea are already on course for the title.

The Swansea City boss saw his side beaten 4-2 at Stamford Bridge after a promising first half and admitted he was not too surprised at the eventual outcome.

He said: “I said it before the game, I think they will be there or thereabouts. I think they’ll be champions.

“The whole team is packed with world class players that can cause damage to you at any time and that’s obviously why they paid the money that they did to get these players here. We have to take that on the chin.

“We did some very good stuff in the first half. We should have really come in with a lead and we were disappointed to concede that goal just before half-time.

“I think second half you saw the power and the quality Chelsea had and we couldn’t quite contain them.”
