Manchester City could dominate European football, according to Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.

City have won a record-breaking 15 consecutive Premier League games, are 11 points clear at the top of the table and 14 clear of Conte’s side.

And the Italian believes they could dominate English football – and beyond.

“This is a great team but was a great team also last season,” Conte said.

“Then during the transfer market they reached their first targets and created an important team.

“We must pay great attention and not only in England, because Manchester City is building a strong team to lead in Europe or in the world.

“Manchester City is a really good team to have these 15 wins in a row. I think you must also be lucky, because in many games they won in the last minutes.

“When you have this type of run you must also be a bit lucky, but they are deserving this and we must have respect.”

Conte recently all but conceded that his team would be unable to catch the leaders.

“When you play 16 games and lose four, my experience is that you cannot challenge for the title,” he said.
