Chelsea boss hails ‘fantastic’ Zouma
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has hailed the development of young defender Kurt Zouma.
The 20-year-old French centre-half put on an excellent performance and scored in the 3-0 FA Cup third-round win over Watford on Sunday.
Zouma has made 10 appearances for the Blues this season and has looked impressive on each occasion.
“Zouma had another good game again, and again, and again – every time he does,” Mourinho said.
“He had matches with mistakes in pre-season against Werder Bremen and in Hungary.
“But his development has been fantastic. Apart from his obvious physical conditions that are outstanding, his concentration has improved.
“The way he sees, reads and analyses the game, and makes decisions, is very, very good.”
