Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti is keen to keep Mauro Icardi, reports The Sun, which reckons Chelsea are lining up a £100m bid for the forward.

The Sun claim Argentina international Icardi is among Chelsea’s top targets ahead of the January transfer window.

But Spalletti is quoted as saying: “Who does not want Icardi?

“ I love him at Inter and when I talk to him I can sense that the city, his team-mates, the club, the fans are all things to which he is strongly attached.

“I am convinced he can stay at Inter forever.”

Icardi has been linked with Chelsea during successive transfer windows but no approach has been made by the Blues.
