Chelsea’s Under-18 side thrash Swansea

Chelsea’s Under-18s stayed top of the table with another thumping win, this time thrashing Swansea City 5-0.

Jacob Maddox scored twice in the game at the Blues’ Cobham training ground, where Mukhtar Ali, Issac Christie-Davies and Malakai Hinckson-Mars also netted and Trevoh Chalobah and Dan Kemp both hit the woodwork – the latter from the penalty spot.

The home side were three ahead by half-time after Ali finished coolly and Christie-Davies made it 2-0 after being set up by Josh Grant, who was also involved in the third goal.

Chalobah’s stunning long-range effort struck the bar before Grant teed up Maddox for his first of the match.

Chelsea continued to dominate in the second half and Kemp was unable to score with his spot-kick after being fouled in the penalty area.

The fourth goal eventually arrived and Grant was again involved – his shot was parried by the keeper and Maddox was on hand to score his second of the game.

And Grant also set up the final goal of the match – former Barnet trainee Hinckson-Mars’ first at Under-18 level.
