Watford boss plays down spat

Walter Mazzarri played down an apparent confrontation between Watford team-mates Stefano Okaka and Troy Deeney after his side’s 4-3 defeat at Chelsea.

Hornets boss Mazzarri said he was unaware of the incident but insisted he was not concerned.

“They are friends. They are always together and joking with each other,” Mazzarri said.

“You want players with character who talk to each other on the pitch. Tomorrow I will investigate but I think it was nothing.”
