West Brom boss monitoring Chelsea and Bees players

West Brom manager Tony Pulis says he watched Chelsea’s FA Cup win against Brentford because he has been recommended a couple of Bees players and is monitoring a number of Blues youngsters.

The likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Nathaniel Chalobah and Kurt Zouma featured for Chelsea in their 4-0 victory at Stamford Bridge.

Pulis’ presence fuelled speculation that he is keen to sign Branislav Ivanovic, who scored in Saturday’s game.

But Pulis has insisted he has no interest in Ivanovic, who is wanted by Zenit St Petersburg.

And he added: “I was at Chelsea because I’d been recommended a couple of players at Brentford and also the younger players at Chelsea.

“Chalobah, Loftus-Cheek, Zouma and people like that were playing. It was just to keep an eye on their young players as much as anything else.”
