Warburton hails players after comeback

Brentford boss Mark Warburton praised his side’s character after they came from behind to draw 2-2 against Millwall.

Goals from Aiden O’Brien and Lee Gregory put the visitors ahead before Alex Pritchard and Moses Odubajo scored late on for the promotion-chasing Bees.

“To keep going until the end again shows the character and the type of people we have in this squad,” Warburton said.

“That’s a very valuable point at this stage in the season.  Come 2nd May, we’ll look back on games like today and be thankful we got something.”

But he admitted: “We were way below our normal level. We were sloppy at the back and in creating chances.

“We’ve got technical players, but we were launching the ball into the box too much.”
