Charlton 0 Brentford 3

Brentford moved into the top half of the table with a superb victory at The Valley – their third successive win under Lee Carsley.

John Swift put Carsley’s side ahead in the first half and Alan Judge – who was involved in all the goals – and Lasse Vibe netted in the second.

Judge set up the opener, crossing for Swift to head home his first goal since joining the Bees on loan from Chelsea.

And Alan McCormack almost doubled the lead when he smashed a shot against the crossbar after being set up by Marco Djuricin.

There was no way back for Charlton once the outstanding Judge brilliantly curled in Brentford’s second goal 10 minutes after the interval.

Vibe, on as a substitute, added the third after collecting Judge’s perfect pass.

Brentford: Button, Yennaris, Dean, Tarkowski, Bidwell, Woods, Diagouraga, McCormack (Canos 89), Judge, Djuricin (Vibe 73), Swift (Kerschbaumer 62).
