Smith criticises referee after Bees draw with Reading

Dean Smith criticised referee Tony Harrington following Brentford’s 1-1 draw at home to Reading.

The result means Smith’s side are still without a Championship win this season.

“Two of our boys have been tackled from behind and we got nothing,” said the Bees boss.

“Three of their players were already on bookings and some of the tackles were allowed. All we’re asking for is consistency. I didn’t think the referee was very good.

“That was probably the most frustrated I’ve been, because a lot of the decisions didn’t go our way and I couldn’t even have a conversation with the fourth official.”
