Lee and Guthrie join Fulham on loan

Brentford goalkeeper Richard Lee has joined Fulham on loan for the rest of the season along with Reading’s Danny Guthrie.

Lee, who joined the Bees from Watford in 2010, was voted player of the year at Griffin Park in 2011 but has not made a league appearance this season.

The 32-year-old plans to retire when his contract expires at the end of the campaign.

His surprise move therefore means he will see out his career at Craven Cottage unless Brentford invoke a clause in the loan deal enabling them to recall him after 28 days.

Midfielder Guthrie, 27, spent four years at Newcastle before joining Reading in 2012. He began his career at Liverpool.
