Judge injury not serious – Bees boss

Brentford midfielder Alan Judge is struggling with a knee injury but it is not serious, according to manager Mark Warburton.

The 26-year-old missed the Bees’ 1-0 win over Rotherham on Saturday, only his second absence in all competitions this season.

Warburton also confirmed new signing from Rangers Lewis Macleod has also picked up a slight knock and is not yet available.

He said: “Alan took a whack at the end of the game last week and has had some inflammation on the knee.

“It’s not serious but we cant risk it. It’s a long season and the players are in for the long haul.

“Likewise with Lewis Macleod – he came down with a slight injury and we can’t rush them into back into it.”

Stuart Dallas scored the winning goal of Brentford’s first league win in four matches– a skilful volley from the edge of the box on 57 minutes.

Warburton said: “It was a good win in the end. It wasn’t pretty but it was important.

“The conditions were difficult at times. We started slowly and were sloppy in possession but dominated the second half and it was a deserved 1-0 in the end.”
