Penalty decision angers Brentford boss
Brentford manager Mark Warburton claimed referee Tim Robinson’s decision not to award his side a penalty was “shocking” and cost them the game against Norwich.
Bees midfielder Alex Pritchard was seemingly fouled in the box by Jose Hooiveld midway through the second half, with the visitors 1-0 up through Alex Tettey’s goal.
And after a seemingly clear penalty was not given, Norwich burst down the other end to score the first of two goals by Cameron Jerome.
“I see this game as a shocking decision in the 67th minute – we should have had a penalty,” Warburton said.
“I’m very, very disappointed because it changed the entire game. If we’d have scored it would have been 1-1.
“If it’s not a penalty, then book our player for diving. Thirty seconds later we’re 2-0 down.
“The players are devastated in the dressing room right now. Pritch gets into the penalty area and if I’m the only one who thinks that’s a penalty then maybe I need to go to Specsavers.”
Brentford dominated the first half but fell behind when James Tarkowski’s stray pass allowed Tettey to put Norwich ahead.
Warburton added: “We weathered the storm but made a mistake, a loose pass, and that’s level we are playing that – it’s about fine margins
“They are an outstanding team but we must take self-belief. We were toe-to-toe to them.”

You weren’t allowed to get out of first gear !!!
Definite penalty and if the referee thought not then it was simulation and therefore a booking. Out of interest, where were you in the ground?

Mr Warburton, you need to go to Specsavers. The said player seemed to agree with the decision during the game. As for toe-to-toe with Norwich…it’s probably because they weren’t even out of second gear at that point.
