McEachran is sidelined by foot injury

Brentford midfielder Josh McEachran faces three months out after breaking bones in his foot in a freak training incident.

The 22-year-old, who only joined the Bees from Chelsea earlier this month, suffered the injury on Friday in attempting to block a shot from team-mate Toumani Diagouraga.

He was taken to hospital where the break was diagnosed.

Brentford boss Marinus Dijkhuizen said: “He blocked a ball. It seemed nothing but he went to the hospital.

“He has broken three bones in his foot and he will be out for at least three months.

“It is bad news for him and for the squad of course.”
