Brentford plan to keep Hogan – Smith

Brentford boss Dean Smith insists the club plan to keep Scott Hogan despite speculation linking the striker with a possible move.

Hull City and Derby County are reported to be interested in the 24-year-old, who has made an emphatic return from a long-term injury.

Hogan, signed from Rochdale in 2014, has scored eight goals for the Bees since returning in March, with one of those goals coming this season.

“Scott Hogan is a major player for us. People are talking about him after only a couple of games this season,” said Smith.

“We want Scott around and we are happy that he is our player.”

Smith says he also doubts Newcastle will sign Alan Judge during the current transfer window.
