Bees look at Man City keeper Albinson

Teenage Manchester City goalkeeper Charlie Albinson played for Brentford’s development side in a 3-3 draw with Crewe at Griffin Park on Monday.

City academy graduate Albinson, 19, sat on the bench against Chelsea in both legs of the FA Youth Cup final last season.

He lined up for the Bees alongside another trialist, Chalfont St. Peter youngster Jarvis Edobor.

But it was England Under-17 winger Josh Bohui who was the star of the show, creating all three of Brentford’s goals.

He first set up Jan Holldack for the opener, cancelled out by Crewe’s George Cooper after an attack emanating from a poor clearance by Albinson.

Bradley Clayton restored the Bees’ lead, from a Bohui cut-back, while Holldack and Andy Gogia both hit the inside of the post.

Another dynamic run and cross from Bohui led to Holldack making it 3-1, but Crewe immediately reduced the arrears through Tom Mullarkey’s looping header and equalised when Oliver Finney’s left-footed volley beat the unsighted Albinson.
