Drjuricin injury fears are played down

Brentford head coach Lee Carsley is confident an injury suffered by Marco Drjuricin at Blackburn is not serious.

Striker Drjuricin was carried off on a stretcher after 13 minutes of the match at Ewood Park, where the Bees drew 1-1.

But Carsley said: “He’ll be fine. I don’t think it’s too serious. He’s in a boot at the minute, but he’s walking.”

Carsley was pleased with the performance against a Blackburn side that hit back after Lasse Vibe had given the Bees the lead.

“I thought the first half was quite even and the second half was a lot more controlled by us,” he said.

“We’ve created three or four good opportunities without having that final finish.”
