Debuts for trio as Brentford win friendly

New signings Andre Gray, Moses Odubajo and Marcos Tabar made their debuts as Brentford began their pre-season campaign with a 3-1 win at Boreham Wood.

Kevin O’Connor tucked away a penalty, and an own goal put Mark Warburton’s side back in front after the non-League outfit had equalised.

Jake Bidwell’s goal 16 minutes from the end capped a dominant display by the Bees.

O’Connor opened the scoring from the spot after winger Odubajo had been fouled in the box.

The hosts then scored with a penalty too, Luke Garrard converting after Alan McCormack’s handball, but Brentford’s lead was restored when the unlucky Josh Hill put through his own net.

Charlie Adams hit the woodwork before Bidwell rounded off a nice move by slotting home from Josh Clarke’s cross.
