Derry City duo train with Brentford

Brentford have offered trials to Derry City pair Michael Duffy and Patrick McEleney.

The forwards, both Northern Ireland Under-21 internationals, have been given permission to train with the Bees, with the League of Ireland on its off-season.

Duffy, 20, hit 15 goals for the Candystripes in 2014, including two in Europa League qualifiers in July.

He has recently had two trial spells at Celtic, scoring twice past Newcastle keeper Tim Krul in a friendly.

McEleney, 22, was a youth team player at Sunderland before joining hometown club Derry in 2010.
