Brentford reject another bid from Hull City for Gray

Brentford have rejected a third bid from Hull City for striker Andre Gray.

The Tigers made another offer for Gray, having had two previous attempts to sign him turned down.

But their latest bid failed to match his club’s valuation of the 24-year-old, who has not started a game this season because of the doubts over his future. Brentford want £7m up front with a further £2m in add-ons.

Gray was only a substitute for Saturday’s opening league game against Ipswich and was left out of the squad entirely for the League Cup thrashing by Oxford on Tuesday.

Hull recently signed Moses Odubajo from the Bees after triggering a £3.5m release clause in his contract.

They remain the only side in for Gray, with Brentford boss Marinus Dijkhuizen dismissing speculation that Burnley had expressed an interest.
