Brentford midfielder Ryan Woods has signed a contract extension that will keep him at Griffin Park until at least the summer of 2020.

The 22-year-old joined the Bees from Shrewsbury on last summer’s transfer deadline day for an undisclosed fee, and had two years left to run on his original deal.

Woods made 43 league appearances for Brentford last season, scoring spectacular long-range goals at Reading and MK Dons.

He has also featured in every Championship game so far this season.
