Bees suffer defeat at Rotherham

Rotherham 1 Brentford 0

Brentford paid the price for missing chances as they suffered a second defeat in as many away Championship matches.

They were beaten by a controversial goal at the New York Stadium, where Danny Ward appeared to be offside when he netted just after the half-hour mark.

Earlier, Lasse Vibe – back from the Olympic Games – and Scott Hogan both missed chances to put the Bees ahead.

However, in the second half, they barely troubled a Rotherham defence which had conceded a total of 13 goals in their previous four matches.

It was the Millers’ first win under manager Alan Stubbs.
