Bees stun Millwall with late comeback

Brentford 2 Millwall 2

Moses Odubajo got an injury-time equaliser for Brentford, who scored two late goals to rescue a point in dramatic fashion at Griffin Park.

Goals from Lee Gregory and Aiden O’Brien put Millwall in command but Alex Pritchard netted an 85th-minute penalty before Odubajo struck.

Millwall broke the deadlock against the run of play when Ed Upson’s lofted pass found Gregory, who rounded David Button and rolled the ball into the empty net.

The home side started the second half brightly – Jota did well to lose Jimmy Abjdou before sliding in Andre Gray but the striker could only shoot into the arms of Forde.

Gray came close again a few minues later when he blazed his shot over the bar from just inside the penalty area.

At the other end, O’Brien fired straight at Button after being found unmarked on the penalty spot by Gregory and then headed over from close range.

Despite Brentford’s pressure, Millwall looked a threat on the counter-attack and got their second of the afternoon when O’Brien nodded home Woolford’s chipped cross.

Brentford managed to pull a goal back when Pritchard converted from the spot after Alan Judge was tripped by Jos Hooiveld.

They were then brought level by Odubajo’s low drive.

Brentford: Button, Odubajo, Tarkowski, Dean (Smith 70), Bidwell, Diagouraga (Toral 70), Douglas, Jota, Pritchard, Dallas (Judge 60), Gray.
Subs not used: Bonham, Craig, McCormack, Long.
