Bees ready to discuss Forshaw transfer

Brentford are ready to sell Adam Forshaw to Wigan if the Latics meet their valuation of the midfielder.

Wigan, managed by former Bees boss Uwe Rosler, have had two bids for Forshaw rejected.

Brentford manager Mark Warburton was unhappy with the approach, but has hinted that the player could yet leave Griffin Park.

Warburton said: “If another club wants Adam Forshaw then no problem, but pay our valuation, which we think is realistic.

“My concern and frustration is when clubs come in with bids that are totally unrealistic – the only consequence of that is a player being unsettled.

“I think that type of behaviour is inappropriate, but if a bid comes in and Adam wants to go then I’m sure business can be done.”

Forshaw has made 82 league appearances for Brentford since arriving from Everton in 2012, initially on loan.
